Positive Thought - Be Available To Your People

Greetings!

“Give me a break” is a phrase I use from time to time and I am sure you do too. I use it to define a point at which I have had enough of some person, place or situation. I find it amazing that I can say something a thousand times but all of a sudden I hear it differently. Now when I'm about to say “give me a break” I know it's not the words I need to say, it’s the break I need to take.

Positive Thought of the Week

I will listen to my mind and my heart to increase awareness of when I am reaching my limit and when I need to take a break. I will not allow my ego to run my decisions. Sometimes when guided by my ego and not my heart, I lose emotional control and find myself out of balance and stressed out. I will stop, take a deep breath, and become centered. I will take the time I need to restore calm, get control and be energized. I am ready, willing and now I am especially able to handle the day ahead.

Business Thought of the Week

In difficult times it is critical to be available to your people. They are concerned and a little afraid of what the future may hold. This is the time to make sure you are communicating and including even more than normal. Communication and inclusion are the pressure values that allow the stress in an individual or an organization to dissipate. If you want to move forward successfully, you must communicate and include your people.

On Tuesday I am speaking to the Visit Florida Conference here in Ponte Vedra at the Sawgrass Resort. This is a great group and I am very excited to be with them. But I must also admit it’s also nice to have a client just down the street. On Wednesday I am speaking to a group of business executives about ways to improve the value of their business. On Thursday and Friday I will be in the office writing a new article for the Business Journal. So please feel free to send me a note and let me know how the week is going.

Forward this note to anyone you feel might need a little shot of positive energy. Spread the word about The Daily Six as a way to build balance, reduce stress and enjoy life.

All The Best ...
