| Positive Thought - Living A Positive Life |

Greetings! Choosing how to react is hard but changing how to react is even harder. In The Daily Six I talk about receiving Gifts of Desperation. These gifts are negative experiences that force positive changes into our lives. When we receive a Gift of Desperation our choices have been removed and the process is often painful, sometimes immensely painful. A heart attach can cause a healthy life style, a divorce can create a child focused parent, a loss of job can help us realize we are not what we earn. The list can go on and on. Gifts of Desperation are very painful but they are not required to create positive changes. Working each day to change the way we act and react is hard but I will choose hard over painful every time. Positive Thought of the Week I am committed to living a positively focused, joy filled and balanced life. I know it, I work it, I live it. I carefully watch my actions and reactions and choose the behavior that allows me to maintain this commitment. Creating positive change is challenging and time consuming. What could be more important to me and the people in my life than for me to grow and become the kind of person I have always wanted to be. Business Thought of the Week I will be working all week in Jacksonville spreading the word about The Daily Six and giving a talk about strategic exit planning. I wrote an article that was published in last week’s Jacksonville Business Journal about the exit planning process. If you missed it you can find it in a couple of days in the articles section of the web site www.changingthefocus.com. I received a number of messages last week and again I extend my appreciation for your willingness to communicate directly. If your company needs effective organizational training or coaching please let me know. Help me spread the word about creating positive change through The Daily Six. All the Best, John |
