Positive Thought - I Will Keep Myself In Control

Greetings!

I heard a friend say something last week that was very insightful; “we give ourselves permission to get angry”. That's exactly right. When we get angry or lose emotional control we are at the end of a process that we have allowed to build up over time. Remaining in control is a choice and making the choice to stay calm and in control emotionally provides you with many more options.
The option to think before you speak, the option to take a break, the option to come back when you can maintain your stability emotionally. What we exert over others is influence, not control (anyone with teenagers knows what I mean) and when you give yourself permission to get angry or lose control emotionally you surrender your influence.

Positive Thought of the Week:
CONTROL - I will keep myself emotionally stable and in control. If I feel myself “losing it” I will ask for a break and return to the situation when I have regained my composure. I will use The Daily Six option of starting my day over again using Quiet Time. I will take a deep breath, close my eyes, and get settled emotionally. I will choose to maintain my sense of balance. I will not give others control of my emotions.

Business Thought of the Week:

Nothing happens until you sell something... not plan it, study it or write a white paper about it. Planning is an important part of the whole process but it is just a part. This week I will make sure I don’t get trapped with paralysis by analysis. Creation requires thought but results require action.

I hope everyone is moving into a great holiday season. No matter your affiliation or non-affiliation this is a great time of year to reaffirm the universal values that transcend parochial views. Love, forgiveness, selflessness, empathy and trust are values that every family can embrace.

All The Best ...
