Positive Thought - I Will Connect With People Who Have Helped Me Grow PDF Print E-mail

Greetings!

On Mother's Day we give thanks for our Mothers and appreciate their contributions to our lives. Some of them are with us to celebrate and some are not. No matter where they are, we can hold them warmly in our thoughts and in our hearts. It is wonderful to have a day to acknowledge their contribution to helping us become the person we are today. But what about all the other people not commemorated with a special day. The people who also took a special interest in helping us grow and prosper: the minister, priest or rabbi, the coach, the school teacher, the scout leader, the mentor or our best friend. When do they get a special day when we can say thanks? How about today?

Positive Thought of the Week

I will connect with the people who have helped me grow and develop positively. Each week I will reach out and let these people know how much they mean to me. It is rare to find someone willing to unselfishly help others. They need to know and I need to acknowledge how important they are to me and how they have made me a better person.

Business Thought of the Week

I will remember that all people want to be successful. Anyone would rather hit a home run than strike out. Sometimes the people around me just need someone to help them see how to be more successful. That could be me. People are not difficult they are just different. How can I help my people be more successful?

I have been working on a new seminar on conflict resolution. My last three clients have all requested conflict resolution to be a key component in their training programs. It is normal in a down economy to have tighter budgets and more stressful work environments. In times like these building and maintaining quality relationships with co-workers is even more important. This is a great time to keep in mind that we can only influence those around us and then only when we are healthy mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This is a good time to double up on The Daily Six principles of willingness, service, and action. Keep yourself open to the good that surrounds you every day.

For the first time the Positive Thought of the Week will be posted on my blog. Check it out and Spread the word.

All the Best ...
